On this EIA page you can find links to Electrical Generating Capacity. The links are to Excel spreadsheets. They contain useful information on units throughout the USA. It can be searched or filtered by state, utility, capacity, fuel, county, etc. I'm hoping to be able to extract the heartland data and present it on this blog someday, somehow.
