Changed Blog Title to include "emissions"

Due to the volume of active research and publications about the emissions, especially CO2, from fossil fuel energy sources, conversion and use I have added emissions to the Blog Title.

As we (individuals, families, cities, states, regions, countries) continue to deplete our vital nonrenewable fossil fuel energy resources rapidly we are continuing to increase Green House Gases (GHG's), and therefore their longterm atmospheric concentration and corresponding "greenhouse effect", at an alarming rate.  Massive amounts of research and literature is being developed, almost daily, to better quantify the physical science, mitigation, and adaption aspects of this imminent, active and ever worsening global problem.

During my Energy Research so far I have continued to notice that it cannot, and should not, be decoupled from a corresponding attention to CO2 and other GHG emissions due to the combustion of fossil fuels.  Depleting these nonrenewable vital fossil fuels, our dependence on foreign fossil fuel sources, and GHG emissions from fossil fuels are all intimately related.  The economy, its growth, sustainability and international trade all impact and are impacted by the distribution and rate and intensity of energy, emissions and related climate change and ecological impacts.

This is a very dynamic and complex issue that cannot be addressed by looking at only one factor, that is "energy", in isolation from the emissions produced by its extraction, conversion, transportation, and use.  It must include at a minimum "energy and emissions" along with related economic and ecologic sustainability considerations and impacts.  Therefore I have changed the title and provided this entry about the reason for incorporating "emissions" research in this Blog.

Now "SEMO Energy & Emissions Blog"
