City considers joining clean energy group | The Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, Missouri: "Columbia officials are taking steps to make the city part of a group that would issue loans to property owners to pay for improvements in energy efficiency.

The Columbia City Council has taken no action on an alliance with Missouri Clean Energy Funding LLC, but the city’s Environment and Energy Commission and the city’s Water and Light Advisory Board have each urged the city to become a member of the group.

Missouri Clean Energy Funding, or MCEF, is a political subdivision that administers the Property Assessed Clean Energy program, which provides loans to commercial property owners to help pay for the costs associated with making a property energy-efficient."
