ECT.coop » Co-op Helps School Cut Costs: "Farmers’ Electric Cooperative, Chillicothe, recently coordinated a light bulb exchange that enabled a tiny rural school district to replace 217 inefficient light fixtures with energy-efficient lighting.
The new compact fluorescent light bulbs will save the Tina-Avalon school district in Tina, Mo., more than 16,000 kilowatt-hours each year. Already, the school district has earned a $1,600 rebate from the co-op toward the purchase of the CFLs."
