Power line might go through Missouri - Local News Story - St. Joseph: "Clean Line Energy Partners, a Texas-based company, is considering running a power line from western Kansas through Missouri to Illinois and points east. Such a line possibly could run through the area.
Company representatives met recently with Buchanan County commissioners to outline the beginning of a long process to build transmission lines capable of carrying 600,000 volts, or about 3,500 megawatts of direct current."
