Headline Story | equities.com: ""The reason we are intervening ... is because natural gas and propane heating customers in KCP&L'S service territory pay higher rates for electricity than all-electric customers," said MGE spokesman Jason Fulp. "There is no rational basis for a utility company to charge two different rates for the same type of service."
Mr. Fulp said the utility will ask the commission to either freeze and reduce the differences in rates or completely eliminate all-electric rates.
"The goal is to eliminate different treatment of electric customers in paying for the same service," he said."
