Marceline cuts ties to Prairie State Energy Campus : Business: "Mo., has cut its ties to the Prairie State Energy Campus in Illinois.
The town's city council voted unanimously late Tuesday to approve a deal with the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission to exit its 4-megawatt contract.
In the deal, the Missouri Public Energy Pool, which already has a contract with Prairie State, will buy Marceline’s 4 megawatts. Marceline will pay $22,000 a month for the next 45 months, saving Marceline an estimated $6 million over five years."
