Cutting Carbon Emissions: Creating Or Killing Jobs? | St. Louis Public Radio: "In Missouri, more than 79 percent of the state's electricity was generated by burning coal in 2012. The EPA is proposing a 21 percent drop in carbon dioxide emissions in Missouri. This means lowering the emissions from 1,963 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt hour to 1,544 pounds per megawatt hour in 2030."
