Energy efficiency charge to return to Ameren bills | Business | stltoday.com: "Ameren Missouri bills will rise by a little over $2 per month for the average household as the utility restarts its energy efficiency program.
The increase will pay for the second three-year cycle of Ameren Missouri's energy efficiency rebates that help customers pay for more efficient appliances and building system improvements.
The programs had lapsed for several months while the utility hammered out a redesigned program with regulators, who worried customers had overpaid during the first three-year cycle. Still, the program helped yield savings equal to the annual energy usage of 75,000 homes."
