Stockton home part of solar energy tour | Springfield News-Leader | News-Leader.com: A rural Stockton couple's solar-powered and energy-efficient home will be open for public tours beginning Oct. 1.
The tour is part of the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society's National Solar Tour, which showcases how solar energy is being used in homes and businesses around the country.
More than 160,000 participants are expected to visit some 5,500 buildings in 3,200 communities across the U.S.
In Missouri, tours of solar homes and buildings will be available in Stockton, Jefferson City, Kansas City and St. Louis.
