City officials review energy efficiency efforts | The Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, Missouri: "Plans to continue improving Columbia’s energy efficiency were the focus of a forum last night featuring City Manager Mike Matthes and Barbara Buffaloe, the city’s sustainability manager.
The League of Women Voters’ local chapter hosted the forum at the Columbia Public Library.
Matthes announced that by spring, the city could begin testing biosolids derived from cornstalks to help fuel the municipal power plant. The power plant now uses a mixture of coal and wood to help power the city."
