Burns & McDonnell joins effort to build small nuclear reactors in Missouri - KansasCity.com: "Burns & McDonnell, the Kansas City engineering firm, has joined Westinghouse Electric’s effort to get federal money to help build smaller nuclear reactors in Missouri.
Burns & McDonnell will help design the power systems of the 225-megawatt reactors, known as Small Modular Nuclear Reactors. The financial terms of the arrangement weren’t disclosed, but Burns & Mac said it was “making a significant early investment of engineering consulting services for a long-term payoff in hundreds of new highly paid jobs” in Missouri."
