MU's role in Ameren project questioned | The Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, Missouri: "A month after MU announced plans to close the Nuclear Science and Engineering Institute in exchange for a future interdisciplinary program, Ameren and Westinghouse Electric Co. announced they were teaming up to compete for as much as $452 million in Department of Energy funding. The grant is being offered to entities to design, build and operate small modular nuclear reactors. The original proposal called for MU and the Missouri University of Science and Technology to be involved."
