Missouri Public Service Commission tries to cut frequency of utility rate cases - Kansas City Business Journal: "The Missouri Public Service Commission is scheduled Thursday to discuss a new way to handle utility rate cases.
The “rate stabilization mechanism” would allow the commission to approve a greater rate increase than it otherwise would in exchange for the utility’s commitment not to bring another rate case for a given amount of time. Regulators are trying to cut down on the expense of frequent rate cases."
