Ameren will raise rates in 2013 - Camdenton, MO - The Lake News Online: "More than 30,000 Ameren Missouri customers around Lake of the Ozarks will be paying more for electricity in 2013.
Ameren, with the approval of the Public Service Commission, will receive a 9.8 percent return on equity. It is the second rate increase in the last two years.
The increase approved this week by the Missouri Public Service Commission could add as much as $10 a month to the average residential bill. Ameren Missouri provides electric service to customers in Versailles, Eldon, Lake Ozark, Osage Beach and Linn Creek.
The PCS's decision in the Ameren Missouri electric rate case marks the state's historic transition from an electric system based on load growth to one founded on energy efficiency and new resources to help consumers themselves control utility costs, according to PSC Chairman Kevin Gunn."
