Ameren Missouri announces green energy plans: "Ameren Missouri on Monday announced an expansion of wind and solar power generation and goals to reduce its carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050.
The announcement stated Ameren Missouri plans to spend $1 billion to add at least 700 megawatts of wind generation by 2020.
Additionally, the company plans to add 100 megawatts of solar energy over the next decade.
Ameren expects to locate the new wind generation in Missouri and neighboring states."
